OtherFolk® is a design and production studio specialising in crafted B2B content, brands and digital experiences. We partner with marketing teams to create distinctive work across whitepapers, long-form reports, presentations, websites, digital advertising and motion. Please note that although OtherFolk® is a fully remote studio, you must be a UK-based freelancer to join our roster.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Editorial Designer to join our team on a freelance basis. You will focus on turning complex ideas into clear, engaging content across whitepapers, reports, decks and social assets. The role is heavily production-led, with an emphasis on editorial layout, hierarchy and readability across long-form and presentation formats, while keeping everything on-brand and ready for real-world use.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and lay out whitepapers, reports and long-form PDFs with strong editorial structure, clear hierarchy and considered typography.
- Create presentation decks that feel consistent, polished and easy to use for clients, including master templates and one-off campaign decks.
- Produce social and digital content that repurposes long-form material into clear, scannable formats for LinkedIn and other B2B channels.
- Translate existing brand guidelines into practical content systems across documents, decks and social, and flag gaps or inconsistencies.
- Prepare files for delivery, ensuring everything is tidy, labelled, accessible and production-ready for client teams.
- Collaborate with writers, strategists and motion designers to ensure visuals support the story and business goals.
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years' experience in graphic or editorial design, with a clear focus on B2B content (we're not looking for brand designers).
- Someone who genuinely enjoys editorial design for B2B content and sees whitepapers, reports and decks as a creative craft (and not a fallback task!).
- A portfolio that shows strong editorial thinking across whitepapers, reports, brochures, pitch decks and similar long-form formats.
- Excellent typography and layout skills, especially for multi-page documents and slide decks.
- Confident working in creative tools including InDesign, Illustrator, Powerpoint, and Google Slides.
- Experience adapting content for social, with an eye for simple, high-impact visual storytelling.
- Comfortable working from supplied brand guidelines and content, while spotting opportunities to improve clarity and consistency.
- Strong communication skills, reliability and a calm, organised approach to deadlines.
What we offer
- Flexible, remote working.
- A supportive and collaborative working relationship with a studio that values expertise and craft.
- Regular opportunities to work on well-defined B2B projects with thoughtful clients.
- A studio that actually pays on time!
